Miroslav Hloucal Quartet is a new project of a young talented trumpeter Miroslav Hloucal, who invited the some of the best Czech and Slovak jazz musicians with whom he met before in other projects in the role of jazz sideman. Miroslav Hloucal author Quartet plays mostly music, but does not even many jazz greats compositions. Leader Hloucal band worked with Karel Ruzicka, Milan Svoboda, Hiram Bullock, George Mraz, New York Voices, Gustav Brom big band, etc. In 2009 the band won 1st place in the Spanish Points Getxo Jazz Festival (the first in the history of the CR ). This year in March achieved great success and his quartet, when in March won the international competition for jazz bands Jazz Prix and was nominated to the finals competition Getxo Jazz Festival.
