Veronika & The Band are proof that even well-known repertoire from the interwar period to the present can be approached innovatively, with lightness and freshness. Three Czech musicians form the basis of Veronika's band – bassist Tadeáš Mesany is active in a wide variety of musical styles – from classical music in the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra to folk, tango and jazz, Petr Svoboda is a young talented pianist, and drummer Tomáš Piala can most often be seen in the bands Gingerhead or Jarret.
