Swomp ()
Swomp the band oscillating between the worlds of classical minimalist music and the world of modern jazz. He works in the compositions Michael Wróblewski unusual sound spectrum, which has primarily through a combination of marimba and two wind instruments, it all adds up to an energetic rhythm. Music band has several positions. From sonorické improvisation over a song inspired by the minimalist composer Steve Reich to the expressive jazz composition. An important component of the group's live interaction, which arises due to perform in different songs each time a different atmosphere. {gt}
Michal Wróblewski ()
Michal Wróblewski is a Czech composer and saxophonist living in Prague. He graduated in improvised music and jazz performance from JAMU in Brno and Norwegian Academy of Music in Oslo. He is currently a PhD student in Composition and Theory of Composition at JAMU. He leads several ensembles in the Czech Republic and Norway (E Converso, Kiap, JWQ, Nejtek-Klápště-Wróblewski, Swomp) and collaborates as an improviser with musicians from all over the world. He is a teacher (HAMU, JAMU, Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, ZUŠ Kouřim), artistic director of the Jazz Goes to Town festival, organizer of the Hybrid Sessions concert series in Prague and co-founder of the Ma Records label.
