Ondřej Kabrna is a Czech jazz pianist.
He is a graduate of the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory, where he studied jazz piano with Prof. Jiří Růžička and where he currently teaches music theory and jazz piano. Among other things, he plays Hammond B-3 and accordion. He is a member of Jana Koubková's EU Band, Latin Wave, Bohemia Big Band, Ruchadze Band, Prague Session Orchestra, VB Jazz Quartet.
In addition to his band, the Ondřej Kabrna Trio performs alongside his famous Czech jazz musicians. The main characteristic of the Ondřej Kabrna Trio is an almost minimalist focus on pure and transparent sound and sensitive work with dynamics, whose waxing and waning within solos and trio passages is almost a basic building method of the form. In this respect, the Kabrn Trio is markedly different from our usual jazz production.
