Jan Kyncl is a Czech saxophonist and composer.
In recent years he has become one of the prominent faces of the young Czech jazz scene. He regularly collaborates with the leaders of Czech jazz and alternative music, either as a sideman or leader. His projects include Jan Kyncl Quartet, Kyncl Culture, Kristina Barta Quartet, Jan Smigmator & Band, Jan Smigmator Big Band, Camoes House Band, Tembryo. He also collaborates with big bands such as the Jazz Dock Orchestra or the Gustav Brom Radio Big Band. In addition to his varied musical activities, he works as a music dramaturge at Czech Radio.
