Melanie Scholtz ()
Melanie Scholtz is a South African jazz singer and composer, winner of several prestigious awards. She began playing piano at the age of five and later studied opera singing at the Opera School of the University of Cape Town, where she graduated Cum Laude in 2000 with a Performer's Diploma in Opera. She also worked as a teacher there from 2004-2005. Melanie has released five successful solo albums and won numerous awards. In 2010 she was named a Standard Bank Young Artist for Jazz and in 2012 she won all three awards in the prestigious Jazz Revelations competition held as part of the Jazz à Juan festival in Nice, France. She has performed all over the world – in her native South Africa, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, France, Italy, Norway, Sweden and the United States. She currently lives in New York City, where she continues to pursue her solo career and writing. In addition to performing with a jazz trio, both jazz and his own repertoire, he also has a solo project, The Lone Looper, in which he uses a looping device to create musical compositions using only his voice.
Brian Charette ()
Brian Charette is an organist from New York. He is best known for his Sextette project as well as his collaborations with many international celebrities such as Joni Mitchell, Chaka Khan, Paul Simon, Cyndi Lauper, Oz Noy, Vinnie Colaiuta and John Patitucci.
