Duende is an international jazz-pop band.
The band brings purely original music to the market, creating an original and varied fusion with influences from Latin-American music, flamenco, jazz and pop. All this is wrapped in a song form enriched with a large dose of improvisation.
The author of the music is guitarist Tomislav Zvardoň, who invited Peruvian musicians Carlo Zegarra and Vlado Urlich to collaborate, forming a compact ensemble, complemented by bassist Jaryn Janek and pianist Krystof Poboril. The resulting sound is supported by the distinctive vocal expression of Cuban singer Adriana Asseff Rodriguez. Duende have played hundreds of concerts in clubs and festivals in the Czech Republic and abroad during their 12-year existence. The band's current album is a recording entitled Garden of Me, which was released on the Warner music label in 2017.
The band members are Tomislav Zvardoň (guitar), Adriana Asseff Rodriguez (vocals), Carlo Zegarra (percussion), Jaroslav Janek (bass guitar), Vlado Urlich (flutes) and Kryštof Pobořil (piano).
