The Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra (OPSO) specializes in stylistic interpretations of early American jazz, blues, and dance music from the 1920s, performed on authentic period instruments.
The ensemble was founded in 1974 by trumpeter, pianist, and musicologist Pavel Klikar, a leading expert and performer in this genre. In 2018, his young successors Jan Pospíšil and Michael Chomiszak took over the leadership with the generous help of pianist and co-founder Jiří Gilík.
