Eva Emingerová ()
Eva Emingerová is an experienced singer with a pleasant voice and jazz feeling. Stylistically, her range is extremely broad, from jazz of the 1920s and 1930s to Dixieland and swing to the interpretation of modern compositions. After retiring from the professional world of sports, Eva began singing in her father's Dixieland band, FVL. In 1990, Ferdinand Havlík discovered her for his Swing Band, with whom she recorded the CDs Swinging Semaphore, Swingers' Convention and Swing, Swing, Swing. She has appeared on television programmes and sang live on Czech Radio for many years. Since the mid-1990s she has also been a regular member of trumpeter Bob Zajicek's Classic Jazz College. In 1998–2000 she also performed with the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra of Pavel Klikar. She sang with Jiří Suchý at the Semafor Theatre and since 2001 she has been performing with the Metropolitan band, at which time she began to collaborate with the Matěj Benko Trio and Petr Binder. Eva has participated in many jazz festivals all over Europe. As a regular member of the Steamboat Stompers, she shone at the 2005 San Diego International Jazz Festival (USA), where she was invited the following year as a soloist. In 1998 she recorded her first solo CD Tea for Two with the F.H. Swing Band, followed two years later by Solitude. In total Eva recorded 15 CDs. With Matej Benko Trio she recorded the CD Sophisticated Lady in 2004 and in 2005 she finished the CD Colors of My Life. Currently she performs with her Quartet.
