Modern jazz big band made up of students from the jazz department at College of Jaroslav Jezek Conservatory he joined in 2005 under the leadership of Professor Milan Svoboda. He specializes in original songs, which predominate in the composition of Milan Svoboda and members of the orchestra. In 2006, with a large Uspeh played at the international festival of big bands in Litvinov and was the main protagonist of festive concerts at the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jaroslav Jezek.

Music by Milan Svoboda Quartet continues the tradition of modern jazz, 60th and 70 years. There are however also the influences of rock, folk and contemporary classical music. Svoboda often include their composition into larger thematic units and created the distinctive suites that allow ample room for creative improvisation all group members. With his quartet toured Milan Svoboda almost throughout Europe, USA and India participated in numerous jazz festivals and recorded phonograph album: Window open, The Boston Concert, Dedication, Tonight, tomorrow morning, Milan Freedom Q & Tony Lakatos, Signs shooter and Live At The Castle. The prestigious was his first participation in the festival European Jazz Night in Vienna, which is transmitted by the EBU TV across Europe. During almost 25 years of existence, replaced by a set number of leading Czech jazz musicians such as Michal Gera (tp), Ales Charvat (b), Jaromir Helešic (ds), Ivan Myslikovjan (as) or Martin Light (b). In the short "American" period it played Greg Badolato (ts) and Aaron Scott (ds). As guests often perform in a quartet of internationally renowned personalities such as Tony Lakatos (ts), Sigi Finkel (ts), Jarek Smietana (g), George Stivin (as) and many others. Last occupation of Milan Svoboda Quartet is selected by top soloists, who cooperate with the leading bands of the Czech jazz scene. The repertoire consists mostly of original compositions by Milan Svoboda and his original jazz arrangements of world literature. Milan Svoboda Quartet is a frequent guest at European music festivals and jazz clubs.
