The performers
Tom Vybíral trio ()
The piano trio, in which the pianist occasionally alternates his instrument with the vibraphone, was formed by the meeting of three musicians who immediately recognized that they had identical musical sensibilities and preferred a similar style of jazz interpretation. Therefore, they decided to form a group that would be dedicated to each trio member's own compositions as well as playing jazz standards in interesting arrangements. The Tom Vybíral Trio also performed in Germany at the Augsburg Festival, where they were joined by the excellent and world-renowned vibraphone player Wolfgang Lackerschmid as a guest.
Gabriela Vermelho ()
Gabriela Vermelho is a Czech singer, violinist, violist, quinton player, composer, performer and actress.
Her extraordinary ability to master classical, jazz, folk and world music styles both instrumentally and vocally was appreciated in 2005 when she received the Alfréd Radok Award in the Talent of the Year category for her role as the witch Eva in the musical Ballad for a Bandit at the Husa na provázku Theatre in Brno, directed by Vladimír Morávek.
She gained stage experience during her studies at the P. J. Vejvanovský Conservatory in Kroměříž and at the University of Ostrava. Her multifunctionality and talent as a singer can be seen in her successful collaboration with the Gustav Brom Orchestra and, for example, with the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra, with whom she performed a demanding soprano part in Ladislav Simon's jazz Requiem under the baton of Vladimír Válek.
