Federico de Vittor Trio ()
Born on 23 June 1986 in Verona, he began playing piano at the age of five. After ten years of classical studies, he developed a passion for Jazz and soon started taking classes with the Italian masters Oscar Zenari and Renato Chicco.
In 2004 he got accepted at the prestigious University for music and dramatic arts in Graz, Austria. Here he got the chance to learn from pianists like Fritz Pauer and Olaf Polziehn. Nonetheless he mastered in writing and arranging for Big Band.
He took part in many master classes and workhshops and had the opportunity to meet musicians like Barry Harris, Ron Mc Clure, John Reily, Dick Oatts, Jim McNeely, Billy Hart, Kenny Barron and Ray Mantilla, to name a few. During his formative years in Graz he had the honor to perform with the great saxophone master Don Menza.
After pursuing his bachelor degree in 2009, he moved to New York City where he lived until 2014. In the big Apple he had the chance to be part of the most exciting jazz scene in the world. He worked with musicians like, Tommy Campbell, Dion Parson, Ron Blake, Earl McIntyre, Renato Thoms, and he was a personal accompanist for the legendary singer Renee Manning.
He moved back to Italy in Summer and immediately took part of some beautiful musical projects like Contrada Lorì, Orkestra Mosaika and the Prague based band Sisa Feher’s Quintet.
