Frank Chiarini & Ritmo Afinado will perform at U Staré paní. Frank Chiarini (Italy) \ Italian singer-songwriter and guitarist known for his collaborations with internationally renowned artists such as Frank Gambale, Robertinho de Paula, Fausto Beccalossi, and Paulinho Garcia. Since moving to Warsaw in 2005, he has been performing live with his band, Ritmo Afinado, with whom he released the debut album Sea of Istria in 2020. His music primarily consists of instrumental originals and covers, deeply rooted in Latin music, blending bossa nova, flamenco, fado, while maintaining a connection with contemporary pop sounds. In 2023, he signed a contract with the historic Italian label Interbeat and has issued the album Amori Distanti, marking the beginning of his collaboration with Roberto Kunstler, setting off a productive partnership that led to the creation of over a dozen songs within months. Antoine Surot (France) \ Graduate of Université Pierre Mendès (Grenoble, France). He also studied at the Conservatoire de Chambéry Département jazz (Chambéry, France). He is a well-known jazz guitarist on the Prague music scene and for his participation in various musical ensembles, such as Huckleberry (folk & bluegrass) or Trippin’ Vibes (soul). Passionate about improvisation, his favourite styles are soul, blues, jazz and bossa-nova. Jamie McDonnell (UK) \ English percussionist with a passion for African and Latin hand drums and hand made instruments. He started playing African djembe while studying in Carlisle, England at the age of 21. To date, he has studied alongside world famous musician Michito Sanchez (percussionist with The James Taylor All Star Band alongside Steve Gadd on drums), Keiko Yamamoto (singer/songwriter and performer), and a multitude of other musical arrangements. Jamie gives frequent drum and rhythm workshops in Prague and takes a frequent part in jam sessions and open mic scenes.
