Raincoat Quartet

The Raincoat Quartet plays electric fusion jazz and has been active on the Prague scene for over 7 years. Main The group is inspired by John Scofield, Miles Davis, Pat Metheny, Jan Hammer, Stevie Wonder and others. Their works form the basis of the band's repertoire. Raincoat Quartet performs on club stages, outdoor events and festivals. Members of the group: - Stefan Segi – keyboards, synthesizers - Founding member of the former Prague funk band Fidibus. In addition to playing with Raincoat Quartet, he runs his own acoustic jazz ensemble, and also dabbles in experimental and lo-fi music, such as Stardust 01–10. - Mateja Segi – drums - Founding member of the former funk band Megaphone. He studied drums privately with renowned fusion players. With his brother Stefan he founded a jazz band, which gradually transformed into a jazz fusion outfit Raincoat Quartet. - Stepan Buchar – guitars - A graduate of the Pardubice Conservatory, he is a classical and jazz musician. He has performed solo with the Chamber Orchestra Philharmonic Orchestra of Pardubice, won an award at the Jazz Festival in Litvínov and performed under Ennio Morricone. - Zdeněk Konečný – bass guitar - In his teenage years he traded violin for bass guitar. He studied with Tomáš Uhlík, later as part of the Prague jazz workshops in Prague, he attended lessons with Juraj Griglak, Martin Lehky and Pek Tormanen. - Peter Wild – saxophone - Graduate of the private conservatory of Dezider Kardos in Topolčany. In addition to playing with Raincoat Quartet, he leads a saxophone quartet, is a member of Nela Doušová's big band and reggae band JJJ.
